Cellist and composer Štěpán Filípek (* 1981) is ranked among those significant Czech artists with an international impact. Thanks to his versatility and creative dramaturgy, he is a frequent guest at music festivals. Štěpán is currently active primarily in several chamber ensembles, but he still devotes himself to the recital discipline, the concertant genre and his own composing.
